 About Chabahar

 

Chabahar is a sea port on the Coast of Oman Sea on the south-east of Iran. It is one of the districts of Sistan and Baluchestan Province and is officially designated as a free trade Zone by government. The average height of the city from sea level is about 7 meter (coordinates: 25°20′N 60°27′E). Based on the latest census the total population of the district is about 220,000 but it is worth of notice that due to many different industrial and educational projects the population size is growing rapidly.

Chabahar has a very well developed health infrastructure. 16 health urban and rural health centers and 65 rural health houses complete the Primary Health Care coverage. One of the best general hospitals of the province, i.e. Emam-Ali Hospital is servicing in Chabahar, and having about 200 beds it is equipped with the best necessary facilities including emergency, surgery, pediatric, gynecology, urology, radiology, infectious diseases and internal medicine wards and also CCU, ICU and NICU wards.
